Welcome to Our Home

Brianna would like for you to come in and visit for a while.

Welcome to our new townhome. We bought our home on February 28, 2003 and have been very busy remodeling and trying to make it an enjoyable place to live in. We have a large patio out front, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a 2 car garage with an additional laundry area set to the side. We have approximately 1,700 sq. ft. of living space in addition to the garage which sure beats the little two bedroom apartment that we were in before.

Here's our crow, the newest addition to our family who's cage that I built is behind the couch so that he can look outside. Unfortunately when he was about a week old someone shot him out of his nest and I found him and have taken care of  him for the past 6 months. I couldn't find anyone that would take him so now he's a part of the family. Although he's the messiest bird I've ever seen, he's also the sweetest little bird. He loves to go out on the patio and take baths and chase Ringo our cat around and pull his tail with his beak. He also loves sitting on my shoulder and calls me mama. He thinks he's one of the kids. He's quite a character.

Here's a view of our downstairs living room area as you walk into our house. The dining room is off to the right. I just remodeled the fireplace by restoring the slate tile hearth, painting the rocks and doing a faux finish on the wall above and shelf. I also added some molding around the top and side.  This is a drastic improvement from the spray painted pink rocks and fake brick wallpaper that was on it before. On the other side of the fireplace is the guest bathroom (which still needs to be remodeled) and the back door that leads to the garage and laundry area.

Below is our kitchen that is around the corner to the right as you walk into the house. I had the cabinets refaced and a friend and I put in porcelain floor tiles and a ceramic tile back splash. I also had the old double oven removed and replaced it with a pantry and put in a regular stove. The two pictures below are right after we finished all the work so it's kind of bare looking.

This is the finished product

I hope you enjoyed visiting. We will have more pictures soon of the rest of the house, our trip to Illinois and lots of family photos. Feel free to download any photos you wish. You can also email me photos and I'll make a special page for extended family photos.
